Child Protection

The Mission and purpose of Ptea Teuk Dong (PTD) is to educate young people and support the local community in a nurturing and caring environment.  Accordingly, PTD is strongly committed to creating and maintaining an environment that promotes and protects the rights and dignity of children and prevents all forms of abuse and exploitation of children.

All teachers, other staff, volunteers, and contractors engaged by PTD are expected to uphold the dignity of all with whom they work and uphold PTD’s Child Protection Policy and Procedures and Child Protection Code of Conduct.

PTD strongly condemns all forms of abuse and exploitation, including physical, sexual, emotional, and psychological abuse of children.  Abuse and sexual exploitation constitute acts of gross misconduct and are therefore grounds for termination of employment.

Two trainings are provided to all members and community members who are engaging in a PTD program.
